Yes — all appointments with MAD’S BEAUTY BAR require a $20 non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. This is done securely through our Fresha platform. If you need to reschedule your appointment, you can do so with at least 24 hours’ notice, and the deposit will transfer over seamlessly to your new appointment time. Cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours will result in a loss of deposit, and the remaining appointment value will be charged to the card on file. If funds are not present, you will not be able to rebook with MAD’S BEAUTY BAR until that fee is paid.

MAD’S BEAUTY BAR accepts cash, EFTPOS and PayID payment methods. The remaining fee can also be charged to the card on file.

Yes, there is ample parking around the property and up the street. With a block of council land directly across from our house. Please DO NOT park up the driveway!

Typically, braids are easier to do with slightly dirtier hair. However, if you are planning to keep the braids in for a longer period of time, we suggest washing your hair prior to your appointment. This helps with scalp health, itchiness and flakiness.

We suggest you avoid getting your hair wet to maintain the style and neatness for as long as possible. This is because water dilutes the products we use — causing flyaways and frizziness to appear quicker. However, you will still get a few days to around a week out of your style if it gets wet.
