Meet the face behind mad’s beauty bar…

Hey lovely! It’s Maddie here, and this is the story of MAD’S BEAUTY BAR 🫶

MAD’S BEAUTY BAR was established in December of 2022 — I was 15 years old at the time, so much ambition, little did I know what it would turn into! I was fortunate enough to create my favourite space in the house, turning my Dad’s study into the prettiest pink room. It all began from posting my work on social media platforms, specifically Facebook community groups (the support from the local community has been incredible), getting models to come in for new braids designs led to the MAD’S BEAUTY BAR name reaching people from all around the South-Western Sydney area, even reaching further!

From what was a hobby, turned into a full on business that keeps me on my toes always! And I am forever grateful to every single person I have met along the way. This year has been an unbelievable year for MAD’S BEAUTY BAR — being a finalist in the Local Business Awards, my first year running!! Booking out for weeks in advance and being absolutely inundated with inquiries has made it the most hectic, but rewarding year yet. I am absolutely fortunate to have the most incredible clients, many of which have turned into some of my closest friends.

Some fun facts about me — I competitively danced for 13 years, began braiding at age 8, and am obsessed with music (it keeps me sane!!)

I am 18 years old, and just graduated high school! I have one younger sister — Mia, who was my practice dummy for many years. We have a beautiful black Labrador named Lexi, who is an absolute princess and loves a cuddle. My birthday is mid September so that makes me a Virgo — I am not particularly sure what that means, but I’ve been told I act exactly like my star sign! I am obsessed with music and concerts, I will go to any when given the chance! I am one hundred percent a pop girl, with my all-time favourite artists being Tate McRae and Sabrina Carpenter. My favourite colour is blue, not pink — but pink is a close second! Next year I will be completing a Certificate 3 in Floristry with Pearsons School of Floristry. From there I will open my second business, with the hopes of getting into event and wedding floristry.
